Lena Dunham absolutely shot down a magazine claiming to know her 'weight loss tips'

She lists anxiety disorder and it’s resultant nausea as the key to her new look.

LENA DUNHAM HAS hit out at a magazine for featuring an image of her to advertise ’20 slimdown diet tips that stars are using’.

The star of Girls has never kept many secrets about her body in the past and today is no different, as she slammed Now magazine by responding with an honest list of the 20 slimdown diet tips that helped her to attain her current figure.

She listed her 20 slimdown diet tips on an Instagram post.

  • Anxiety disorder
  • Resultant constant nausea
  • An election that reveals the true depths of American misogyny
  • Sleeping 19 hours a day
  • Bladder spasm, urinary frequency and urgency
  • Having your phone number leaked and violent images text to your phone
  • Keeping your back arched against the wind

And finally:

  • I have no tips I give no tips I don’t want to be on this cover cuz it’s diametrically opposed to everything I’ve fought my whole career for and it’s not a compliment to me because it’s not an achievement thanx

This comes just weeks after an interview with Ellen Degeneres who asked her about the flack she got for losing weight. Lena told Ellen that “[she] spent six years of [her] career being called things like “bag of milk”, “baby cow” and “ageing cow” on the internet. [She] never felt self conscious about it”.

After beginning to work out in order to get a handle on her endometriosis, people began to call her a hypocrite for supposedly being body positive and then deciding to lose weight. She simply responded that “bodies change”.

Lena remarked that this was evidence that there is no winning for women in Hollywood.
